Dear Potential Regional Officer Candidate:
So you want to be a Regional Officer? Regional officers serve an integral role in the Society - a critical link between international and local Phi Theta Kappa chapters. In the words of famous author, Donald H. McGannon, "Leadership is an action; not a position." Though the title and the perks are nice, the real fulfillment comes in the "doing" of the job: from assisting chapters with their International programs to meeting other Phi Theta Kappa members here in Arizona, as well as the International community. It's about learning, growing, implementing and sharing. Basically, it's all the Hallmarks rolled up into one tidy package of experience.
To be specific, the Arizona Region seeks hard-working, thoughtful, responsible, visionary, communicative, reliable, creative, sometimes silly, frequently cheery, initiative-minded team players as candidates to fill the seven officer positions on the Regional Board. Sound like you? Want to know more? Download the forms found below and read them over (carefully). Consider the possibilities! Who knows where this leadership opportunity will take you? As always, the Regional Officers are ready, willing and able to answer any questions you may have about job descriptions, campaigning, etc. We'd love to hear from you. Good luck! =)
Best wishes,
Thomas Grier
Arizona Regional President 2006-2007
